Longing

LONGING

It is for Your presence

I so long.

It is for Your love

that I thirst.

I long to see Your face,

and hear Your voice.

My soul is cast down

within me.

I am unsettled and unsure,

and as I wait for You,

Your song comes to me

in the night.

My hope is always in You.

My help comes only from You.

I shall again praise You,

my rock, my strength.

In the deep I meet You

and my soul comes alive.
