May children everywhere know your love, dear Lord

May children everywhere recognize your Spirit within

May they feel your breath as they breathe fresh air

May they experience your Holy presence in all they do

Thank you for the children, Lord

Thank you for their joyful spirits

Their embrace of each day’s mysteries

Their laughter, their playfulness, their trusting souls

Bless these little ones as they wake up today

Bless them in their effort to understand

Send them your loving guiding grace

And lead them on their journey back to you
