I Let Go

I let go -

all of my hopes and dreams.

Shattered fragments left over

from a lifetime.

I spew out those pieces of a life

spent with hope and promise.

I cough up the last pieces

of the broken dreams.

A life has gone by.

Hopes swept away.

Dreams have gone sour.

I open up to letting it flow

out of me and back

to the Divine Source

of all good and bad.

As it pours out of me

it is painful and ugly.

The disappointment, the hope gone

the longing for a different outcome.

It is over now. Gone.

Let it go. Up and out.

Cleaned out. Ready for new.
